Thank you for your interest in becoming a career mentor at the University of Westminster!

The University offers both short term and long term mentoring opportunities which you can be involved with. Our two options are outlined in further detail below.

By completing this mentor application form, you will also be able to indicate if you would like to be considered for our 6-month long Career Mentoring Scheme or just our one-off conversation Ask A Mentor Service which is open all year round.

Career Mentoring Scheme (Long-term Mentoring)

Our Career Mentoring Scheme allows our mentors to be connected with current students and recent graduates for a 6 month long mentoring relationship.

Once matched, you will be expected to complete a minimum of five mentoring sessions with your mentee over six months. The scheme is flexible to fit in with your lifestyle.

For our September 2020 scheme, we will be encouraging all mentoring relationships to continue virtually to ensure that we are following government guidelines of social distancing and to ensure all our mentors and mentees are kept safe.

Ask a Mentor Service (One-off Conversations)

Our Ask a Mentor Service gives students and recent graduates the chance to have a one-off conversation with an experienced professional career mentor. This single mentoring session can be based on a specific query they may have around a particular area e.g. application advice or interview tips.

This service is available all year round and offers greater flexibility to fit around your schedule
